brand name within the dancing community.
Considering the extensive range of products that are
offered to a continually growing number of customers,
it is difficult to comprehend the growth that has been
witnessed from the very beginning of Dance Gear.

The founder of Dance Gear, Pauline Godfrey now
Turner, was herself a dancer and after pursuing
a brief career in performing arts, then
turned her talents to retail. She established a modest
shop, Dance Gear in 1978 in Harborne, England
and catered for the dancing community in
the West Midlands for many years.

The expansion into mail order saw the involvement
of her husband into the business, where their effort
and resources could be combined to form Dance Gear Direct.

Consequent changes were made such as the manufacture of Dance Gear garments and more extensive product ranges.
